There’s new content coming out for Brütal Legend, and PlayStation 3 gamers will get it for free for two weeks.
A post on the official PlayStation blog describes the new, DLC. The “Tears of the Hextadon” downloadable content pack will be available on November 5 for the PlayStation 3 and will be free for two weeks exclusivity on PSN.
Xbox 360 owners will get their hands on the content November 3rd, but will have to pay 400 Microsoft points for it.
The package will contain two new multiplayer maps, called The Circle of Tears and Death’s Fjord, and a new axe dubbed the “Blade of Ormagöden.”
Brütal Legend’s real-time strategy component may be the most misunderstood part of the game. Dig into it, especially outside of the single-player campaign, and you’ll find an incredibly well thought-out and smartly executed console RTS. These new maps are a great gift to the stage battle faithful (or at least those looking to nab the Achievement or Trophy for 50 online wins).
